Most common side effects
• Localised burning/stinging during injection
• Bruising and redness
• Tenderness
• Swelling at the injection site
Less common side effects
• Uneven/inadequate result/lumps
• Infection at the injection site
Risks and possible complications
• Permanent granuloma/nodule/lump formation
• Necrosis of the skin
• Prolonged redness
• Prolonged pain and sensitivity at the treated areas
• Nerve damage
• Scar formation (keloid)
• Immediate hypersensitivity including Anaphylaxis
• Nasolacrimal duct obstruction, blindness (when treating around the eye area)
Wrinkle Relaxers
Common side effects
• Transient headache
• Swelling
• Bruising
Risks and possible complications
• Pain, twitching, itching, oedema around the eyes
• Allergy including anaphylaxis is possible, but rare
• Asymmetry
• Temporary drooping of facial features, including eyebrows, cheeks and mouth
• Dry eyes
• Double or blurred vision
